2014—2015 CHARITY My Charity for 2014/15 is going to be for Sheffield Northern General Hospital, specifically for the ‘Chesterman Suite’ which is the Main heart and lung wing, and the ‘Sorby Renal Unit’ which is for the treatment of Kidney disease. These are two Units that have been dear to my heart. Barrie my husband suffers with an hereditary Kidney Disease, and has recently, due to that disease been earmarked for a major heart operation. My Father also spent several weeks in the ‘Chesterman Unit ‘ in early 2013 with a punctured lung. This is my reason for choosing this Charity for 2014/15 As a thank you to all the helpers and staff on these wards.
2016 CHARITY My 2016 charity is for a small group based in Rotherham, for the last few years a dear friend and Ex roady Paul, known to many as ‘Hoss’ had been suffering from Young Onset Dementia Paul sadly passed away just before his 69th Birthday in 2015 having been helped by the Young Dementia Group during his last few years the group needed funds of about £1,000 to remain open and that was our target for 2016 We are pleased to say we surpassed that target
2017 CHARITY Having passed our Total for 2016 we were then informed that UK Country Radio .com was picking a number of charities to support for 2017 and found that the Young Onset Dementia Group was among those chosen. As such and has we had supported Sheffield Hospital for 2 years it was decided by me to extend our collections for 2017 to the same group knowing that our previous collections had helped the group to ensure it ran for at least another year or two, helping those suffering from the Dementia and their Carers.
2018 CHARITY
Carrying on from our 2017 charity we are collecting once again for the Young Onset Dementia and their Carers in the hope that we can again raise the £1,000 required for their premises Rent for the Year.
Pleased to announce we once again was able to hand over the £1000.00 to helping those suffering from the Dementia and their Carers.
2019 CHARITY
Carrying on from our 2017 & 2018 charity we are collecting once again for the Young Onset Dementia and their Carers to again raise the £1,000 required for their premises Rent for the Year.
2020 / 2021CHARITY
Carrying on from our 2017,2018, & 2019 charity events we are collecting once again for the Young Onset Dementia and their Carers to again raise the £1,000 required for their premises Rent for the Year. Though due to cancellations with Covid-19 we may not this reach our target amount for these two years TARGET NOT REACHED THIS YEAR 2020 TARGET NOT REACHED THIS YEAR 2021
TARGET FOR 2022 £500 Fortunately this year we have, although are target has been a little smaller managed to Give £230 to a Sheffield hospital collection together with £375 for British Heart Foundation making a total of £605 on the year to date.
TARGET FOR 2023 £500 We Are pleased to Say that this year our Target of £500 which is to be raised for The British Heart Foundation was very nearly reached from our 2 back to back Breaks at the Royal Hotel Skegness at the end of January and the beginning of February Having reached £485 pound on our raffles etc we have made this up to the £500 target Hopefully we will carry on our fund raising and we have in mind a second charity for any future cash AS AT 1ST JANUARY 2024 We are currently working out the charity money for 2023 and will post details and pictures shortly
Target for 2024 £500
We know that people are tightening their belts for what could be a super expensive year, everything from food to holidays has increased greatly this year and charity is getting harder for people - but because we know the generosity of the Country Music fans we still expect to be able to raise our target figure of £500.00 |
