Just had another great weekend, thanks to everyone that helped out , dressed up and brought raffle prizes, we raised lots of cash again for our Charities. I unfortunately had to come home on the Saturday Night after my gig as Dad had been taken ill.  A Swift visit and couple of days in hospital and a course of antibiotics and steroids and he was able to come home, Diagnosed as Flu and very bad chest infection, stayed with him a couple of days and now I’ve come down with it so look like staying at Dads so as not to pass it on, thank you to all those that have changed my gigs round hopefully a couple of days in bed and dosing myself I should be up about within a few days - fingers crossed

25th December 2018

Received some really bad news  95 Year Old Fred has passed away today, Fred has followed me to many places and festivals for nearly all my singing time, and  has known me and my family since I was born, I will sorely miss him,  Dad has now been diagnosed with Lung Cancer but luckily is a slo0w growing one and he  should not notice it too much as his breathing is bad anyway.

But We keep striving forward. So thanks to everyone that has helped out this year

And to each and everyone of  you have a very merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy Wealthy and prosperous New Year

Regards  Carolann

23 December 2018 XMAS MESSAGE & UPDATE

Well the 25th Year has certainly seen a ‘Rough Ride’, besides all the other things going on this year, Dad has now been diagnosed with lung cancer to add to all his other problems - having said that after his treatment it appears to be holding and not growing any faster, He is of course very down after finding out about cancer that to people of his age was always something you never came out of. But thankfully the treatment worked in the fact it didn’t  shrink the cancer but did stop it’s growth, so that makes him feel a little better, hopefully the news may be a little better after Christmas when he goes for his next appointment.

Barrie is luckily holding his own and still keeps battling on.

Other than that on the singing front I have been lucky that my life has revolved around that, and I have not had to cancel any gigs though some good friends have helped me out by swapping dates around for me when Dad first got his diagnoses and had loads of hospital appointments thrown at him.

I’m pleased to say, we got through all our holiday breaks with everyone enjoying themselves, and all the 2019 holidays are nearly all fully booked with only a couple of rooms left to fill in July and November.

I only have one final sad act to carry out this year and that is the funeral of my good friend of over 30 years Gary Perkins who I will miss beyond words, he was in my eyes the perfect gentleman who has helped me many times over the years. And of course I must mention Lance Merlin  who I met in Crewe when he first came over to the UK and we talked about him joining the UK Country Music Scene, whilst I wasn’t as close to Lance as I was to Gary, and I will be unable to attend Lances funeral I will still miss his face on the circuit.

So as another sad year for me comes to an end, I can only hope that 2019 will be better, and as always life goes on with lots of good things happening as well as the bad and the sad, Luckily  long term it’s all the good things we remember and the sad and the bad fade with time and don’t seem  to hold us back as much as we thought.

So with that in mind - May I thank all those that have enquired during the year and sent condolences cards and emails, and so many texts and telephone calls that have lifted my spirits during 2018, and wish every single one of you,  A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year for 2019.

God Bless you all

26th August 2018 UPDATE

Well I was looking forwarding forward at the beginning of the year to a better one than last year which saw a few problems arise during the year, but I’m sorry to say the good luck hasn’t come with me into my 25th Year on the circuit , as far as Country music is concerned I am still enjoying immensely the fact that I am kept busy, and luckily even though the home front presents a  bumpy ride I have still managed to fulfil all my engagements.

Barrie is still doing relatively well  and is keeping going even though he is into his middle seventies, Father is still problematic though again after his severe stroke he is managing really well  though it’s getting harder as he needs more care and attention, We sadly lost my Second Brother . One of my favourite Uncles and a niece all within 4 weeks of each other that proved to be a real body blow, Dad has taken the loss quite heavily even though he rarely shows it, but he himself is getting depressed and it’s harder and harder to get him to snap out of it as we are away quite a lot — but we keep battling on , luckily the music and all our wonderful friends  keep us smiling through

Thank you everyone for the good wishes and  cards messages etc that you all keep sending—they do help to keep our spirits up.

Regards  Carolann

LAST  2  POSTING OF OLD SHEET

15th DECEMBER 2017

I WOULD LIKE TO WISH  EVERYONE—A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

AND A HAPPY, HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR

Carolann B & Barrie

LAST  POSTING OF OLD SHEET

4th December 2017 UPDATE

What happened to time since August,  I have just about finished writing my 400 hundred plus Christmas Cards all I need to do now is post them,  I am pleased to say I rarely work over  Christmas, but I do really like this time of the year, I find all the Christmas Songs a real joy to sing, and remembering all the wonderful friends Barrie & I  have made over the years as I start my 25th Year in Show Business, Not only a Milestone with  wonderful memories, but a milestone in that I must be one of only a  very few handful of English Female Country Artists to have survived that long. Mainly that is down to the Very many fans and friends I have made along the way and who have kept me strong.  So to each and every one of you may I say A BIG THANK YOU,  and take this opportunity to wish everyone

A Very Merry Christmas, and a  Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year

and I look forward to managing to see many of you, God Willing, in the next 12 months.

Thank you All      Carolann B
